ALLOY STEEL MANUFACTURER IN Delhi-NCR
Alloy steel is considered to be the workhorse of many industries. It is one of the most widely used metals in the world. So, what is Alloy Steel? When different elements comprising metals and non-metals are added to the carbon steel, alloy steel is formed. These elements are added to increase strength, wear resistance, hardness, and toughness. Alloy steel includes only about 5% alloying elements to the base iron and carbon structure in its material composition. Manganese, nickel, chromium, vanadium, and tungsten are some of the alloying elements.
Dhand Steels is considered to be the most-preferred alloy steel manufacturer in India. We manufacture and sell products like HB wires, bright bars, HHB wires and special alloy steel.
Process:
The process of manufacturing alloy steel is solely dependent on the desired result. However, it is generally produced by melting all the alloying elements together in a furnace at a temperature over 1600°C for approximately 8 to 12 hours.
The next step is to remove the impurities. For this, the steel is annealed at a temperature over 500°C. It also alters the physical and chemical properties of the alloy steel.
The annealing process results in a mixture of iron oxides. In the next step, this mixture is removed from the surface with the help of hydrofluoric acid. The Annealing and descaling process is repeated once again. The steel is then melted and cast into for shaping it and rolling into the final form for the final product.
What are the Alloying Elements?
Dhand Steels, an alloy steel manufacturer, uses the following elements to produce the best-in-class quality finished products. They can be used in various combinations depending on the desired properties.
Mostly used elements are carbon, nickel, chromium, manganese, molybdenum, silicon, boron and vanadium.
Less common elements are copper, aluminium, zinc, cobalt, cerium, tungsten, tin, titanium, lead, niobium, and zirconium.

What are the applications of Alloy Steel?
With a leading name as the Alloy steel manufacturer in Faridabad, our products have a wide variety of applications in various industries:
Building large structures
In the construction industry, alloy steel is used for modern structures like airports, bridges and skyscrapers in the form of a steel skeleton because it provides the required tensile strength to support such large structures. The screws, nails and bolts made of alloy steel are also used in this industry
Building Bridges
Bridges are made of special alloy steels (nickel, copper and chromium) as they provide enhanced protection from corrosion. Alloy steels also offer several benefits such as high safety, ease of construction, aesthetic looks, low maintenance and cost-effectiveness. They are also amenable to alterations in the future.
Flat products
Flat products such as plates and strips are made up of alloy steel. They are available in a wide range of sizes and grades. These flat products are usually used in building construction.
Long products
Long products are employed in girders and structural sections in the construction industry. Alloy steels are used to make bars, rails, rods and wires.
Pipe products
The pipes made up of Alloy steels (stainless steel, chromium and nickel) are very important materials in the building and construction industry. They provide excellent performance characteristics such as ductility, ease of fixing and high durability. The pipe products are extremely useful in high-temperature or corrosive applications.
Other applications
Alloy steel is also widely used in automobiles, mining, machinery, railways and road construction applications.
